Roly Polies
One of my readers requested this recipe. These are really yummy with just butter, with butter and maple syrup, or with peanut butter and maple syrup. They're basically just like crepes and pancakes put together. They are a little thinner than pancakes and they should be rolled up like crepes as soon as they come off the griddle. Yum!
Roly Polies
Ingredients:
4 eggs
1 c. flour
1 c. milk
2 Tbsp. honey
1 tsp. salt
Directions: Blend all in the blender and cook on the griddle like pancakes. Roll up like crepes as soon as cooked.
*Note: Double batch makes 35 Roly Polies.
Honey Orange Tea
This stuff sure made my life less miserable. You see, I've been sick with this wacky sore throat-cold thing. That's why I haven't blogged for a really long time. (plus being super busy.) So I apologize and I hope to keep this blog... well... blogged.
This tea is great for sore throats, colds, and just to warm you up. It tastes like Christmas! I'm not kidding! So this drink could be just for a cold afternoon, when your sick, or just when you want it!
Our friend (You know who you are. Thank you!!) gave us the idea for this but she used lemons instead of oranges. We didn't have any lemons so we used oranges. It's still citrus! Either would work but maybe if you put lemon leave the cinnamon out. I'm not sure if that would be good
Honey Orange Tea
Ingredients:
An orange
Honey
cinnamon (optional)
Hot water (not boiling, just from the tap)
Fill a hot chocolate mug with hot water. Get a spoonful of honey and just stir it in. Squeeze in about a quarter of the orange. You can do more if you want. Add a little bit of cinnamon and stir.
Hope you enjoy this!

Peanut Butter Cream Cheese Apple Dip
Yesterday we went to a book club and we took this absolutely delicious snack to share. Our neighbor has a couple apple trees and he told us we could come get some apples. They are the perfect crunchiness/juiciness and have loads of flavor.
We wanted to make a snack that wasn't too unhealthy and sugary because we knew we were going to have a treat that night. This was the perfect alternative.
Peanut Butter and Cream Cheese Apple Dip
*Makes about 2 1/2 c.
1 c. peanut butter
1 c. packed brown sugar
8 oz. pkg. cream cheese
1/4 c. milk
1/4 tsp. salt
Put all of the ingredients in a bowl and mix well with a fork or an egg beater. Serve with sliced apples. Enjoy!

The Bunched Hair Clip Tutorial
Guess What?! I finally made up how to make something without copying someone else! The other day I was making a hair tie and I was turning two pieces inside out and I thought of something. You could make a hair clip using this method. So i tried it and it worked! Here's the tutorial:
Put the two pieces wrong sides together and sew it together.
Only sew one side closed.
Leave a 1/4 in. seam allowance.
Hold the closed end like this so the sewed edges are held together.
Push a pencil down in the fabric. This is why you had to hold it that weird way.
Push it down as long as you want your hair clip to be. I did mine about two inches. You can do it more or less.
Bunch the fabric onto the fabric until it's all bunched on. Don't do it too bulky or else it will not go through your sewing machine. You may have to cut off some fabric.
Pull the fabric off the pencil. Be sure not to let it unravel.
Sew down both long sides of the bunched fabric. You may have to use a walking foot.
This is what it should look like after you have clipped the threads.
Cut a piece of fabric about the size of the back of your clip.
Cut a little slit just large enough for the skinny part of the barette to fit through.
